Marine Peptides

Peptides are important bioactive natural products

Peptide are organic substances consisting of the remains of identical or different amino acids, connected by a peptide bond. The number of amino acid residues distinguishes di-, tri-, tetrapeptides, etc., as well as polypeptides. Peptides are constantly synthesized in all living organisms to regulate physiological processes.

Peptides are important bioactive natural products which are present in many marine species. These marine peptides have broad spectra of bioactivities: antimicrobial, antiviral, antitumor, antioxidative, immunomodulatory, and neuroprotective activities.

Both economically and technically, the most effective way to produce fodder small peptides is controlled enzymatic hydrolysis, which uses special enzymes to release inactive amino acid chains (di- and tripeptides) from protein molecules.

MARINE PEPTIDE FUNCTIONAL BENEFITS

Increased Resistance to Disease

For more than 30 years, it has been known that peptides are a critical factor in mobilising the immune system against the external infections. Adaptive immunity uses memory and specificity as a protective mechanism, and innate immunity is the first "line of defence" against infections consisting of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs).

AMPs affect the adaptive immune system, stimulating the B- and T-cells response. This effect of small peptides increases the resistance of animals to diseases and improves the safety of livestock.

Increase in Weight Gain

The direct absorption of small peptides improves the digestibility of other nutrients in the feed. The degree of digestibility of small peptides is higher than that of individual amino acids. Practical experience of using small peptides in feeding shows a significant increase in weight gain and feed conversion.

Small peptides, performing a number of important biological functions in the body, are not just an alternative to highly digestible protein sources, but also allows achieving a number of additional effects on the productivity, safety, digestibility of other nutrients.

Attractant

Enzymatic hydrolysis breaks down the protein into peptides and free amino acids which are both highly soluble in water and thus powerfull attractants to aquatic species, especially when coming from marine origin.

OUR PRODUCTS

Shrimp Peptide Extract

MF1 is a liquid feed supplements for animal feed. It is obtained through enzymatic hydrolysis of fresh shrimp head (Litopenaeus Vannamei). These raw material are collected from food processing factories, transported in closed containers to our facility where it is stored in cold room before being processed within few hours upon its arrival to insure maximum product quality.

Main Product Function are Attractant, gut health (peptides combined with organic acids), increased immunity and resistance to pathogens (Bioactive peptides).

Fish Peptide Extract

MF2 is a liquid feed supplements specially designed for aquafeeds. It is obtained through hydrolysis of fresh marine fish by-products (pelagics). These raw materials are collected from food grade fish processing facility, transported in closed containers to our facility where it is stored in cold room before being processed within few hours upon its arrival to insure maximum product quality.

Main Product Function are Attractant, gut health (peptides combined with organic acids), increased immunity and resistance to pathogens (Bioactive peptides).
